Surgery is Hard

Surgery sucks
Healing is hard
Pain takes my breathe away
Back is stiff
Bayer is corrupt
I just want to be normal again
minus a couple organs that were destroyed!

Day 3 FIrst Day At Home

 DAY 3 Post Op

Today was a little more painful to walk but I know I have to do it. So I am forcing myself to get up so I can get to healing faster. Also I don't have a nurse keeping up with my meds throughout the night so the morning was worse...Charlie has been doing good keeping me on schedule with my meds.
Trying to wean off of the pain pills because they are screwing with my vision, making me dizzy and consitpated.
It is nicee to be in my own bed but I am a stomach sleeper so it is hard to just lay in my bed.
It takes me about 5 minutes to walk to the bathroom which is right next to the bedroom.
Slowly but surely I will get better.
All of my symptoms and side effects of Essure have dissappered and it will be a tell tale sign when I am all healed and everything is gone and I am back to my normal healthy body.
I plan on doing a detoxification after healing is done to rid my body of any lingering metals in my blood.
I am in pain but knowing I will feel so much better is reassuring to me.

Ahhhh Home

Football Camp With Holt Brothers

I had signed Braedyn and Cooper up for a mini football camp Saturday June 28th with the Holt Brothers. Teri and Tori! They played at NC State. The camp was at NC States practice field. Coop ended up not going because he had a baseball game but I bet after hearing Braedyn's stories he is going to wish he went too. Braedyn had a ton of fun and they did drills, it was non contact. There lots of current and ex players there! His favorite one there was Mike Glennon! QB for Tampa Bay! Braedyn chatted with him for awhile. Nice guy. Charlie said Braedyn had a grin from ear to ear. They love football! It was a good taste of it without getting hit. He did good at the QB spot.
Can't wait to hear from him how it went. At the end of camp they sit down with the kids and tell them to study hard and how important schoolis, get good grades, stay away from bad people, and make good choices in life. Coop will have to go next year!! Here's some pictures Charlie took...

Discharged!!

On our way home! Even though I'm still in alot of pain but will be nice to be in my own bed!!

All the side effects like joint pain, migraines, and itchy rashes are gone!! Six weeks I will be back to a healthy body!

Eve of surgery

Preops were all done today.
Feeling a little nervous tonight...
It is weirdly quiet around the house as all the boys are on sleepovers so that I can make it to the hospital at 5 am for my journey to being E~Free!
I am excited and nervous!
Praying everything will go ok!

Durham Bulls Field of Dreams for Braedyn

Tuesday night we had a fun night at the Durham Bulls with Braedyn's baseball team and parents!
They got to take the field with the players and then after 6th inning ran out on the field to chase the Woolly Bull the mascot...He got to go out with the catcher
Here are some photos from the night!
Great Memories!

Coop's Cal Ripkin 8U All Star Hawks team

State Games

NC Powerade State Games

Friday night was opening ceremony at Lowe's Motor Speedway! It was a cool experience to be at the track. We got to park on the infield. There was an opportunity to a ride along but we just watched. They had four cars running. It was so loud with just four cars can't imagine 43 of them! It was awesome! Now I want to go to a race. For the parade of athletes they got to line up on pit road and walk around the track. An opportunity to walk on the NASCAR track was very cool.
Here are some photos from the night! Braedyn is missing as he had his last baseball tournament this weekend so is staying with his friend and teammate.

Watch Out For Doors

Those lift gates can come out of nowhere!

This is what happens when you are in a hurry to get out the door and have a million places to be in one day!

Daddy had left early to go to a golf tournament and Jordan had to be at a birthday party at 10 am in Chapel Hill,  Cooper had a baseball game at noon in Hillsborough, and Braedyn had a birthday party too to go to at 2:00 in Hillsborough.Talk about a busy day. I had everything ready to go and everyone was in the car. I told Braedyn to go in and change his shoes to tennis shoes instead of crocs. I shut the tailgate with the automatic button as he was coming out of the house and he ran around the corner without looking and ran right into the side of the tailgate. He cut his head open and blood was running down his face all over the place as he came running into the house saying I don't want to die. and as you can imagine everyone was really calm about it. I was able to get the bleeding stopped and we left it open and drove to the birthday party. Luckily living in Chapel Hill and Durham area usually someone in the medical field will be at the birthday party and there was a surgeon there. He said there was no need to go to the emergency room so I ran to CVS and got butterfly strips and we sterilized it and put bandages on it...although the butterfly strips did not stay put I eventually just got wound closure strips pushed the skin together and placed those because I know those would work. I have had those after surgery. They stayed put for a week and after a week it was healed nicely with minimal scarring...mom did good on this case....
Later that day he asked me am I going to forget stuff and I said what do you mean? He was worried he suffered a concussion and he was going to have some long term effect...I assured him that's not the case. I forget stuff all the time and I have not suffered any concussions!

US Open

Someone had a little fun last week! Lucky guy got to go down to Pinehurst and take in the US Open!

Paintball Warrior

This was fun!! Braedyn got invited to a birthday party that they went to a Paintball place. He had a ton of fun! I think daddy would have had a lot of fun at this birthday party!

Happy 5th Birthday To My Baby

Can't believe 5 years came and past! It has went by so fast...You will always be my special baby boy! I love you so much! I am so glad we had this year to spend together and you are ready to start Kindergarten and go to school with your brothers.
You have grown up to be a smart, silly, witty, intelligent, and independent little boy!

School's out!!

Spending time together! That's what I want before my surgery! We are never home and never together it seems so it's nice just to be home with the boys and play and relax! We are having a stay-cation this summer... here they are just out and about

Every Wednesday night there is an all comer's track meet at the UNC track through a local running club. I had asked the boys if they would want to go some night. They were excited about going. I have to say it was a fun free night!! We all did the same events. Kids raced first then mom and in the adult slower heat.
I was proud of them all! Cooper and Braedyn each did the mile run and ran in 8:30 minutes! We did the  1 mile run, 100 meters and 400 meter run. They didn't enjoy the 400. HA mom doesn't like those either! Not bad though I ran in 82 an when I was in my prime I probably ran an average of 70-72.

Silly boys out at the pool! That game cracks me up!
