My dad and I while mom was in surgery.
I flew home to Rochester a few back into January because my mom was diagnosed with a brain tumor and they had to operate right away as it was growing so fast it would take her life and was impeding here spinal column and fluid. I needed to be there when she went in for surgery. It was a couple long weeks for me not being able to be there when she first went in and they found it but I knew it would be important to be there as the Dr. Had warned us of the risks involved with the difficult procedure as it was dead center in the middle of her brain on the pineal gland inside the brain.
That was a very long day full of prayers and worry. The surgery went very well the doctors had said and she came out of recovery and we went to get to see her and she was sitting up with a big turban of gauze on her head. She knew who we were and was able to talk....amazing.
I had to leave the day after the surgery to fly back home but I knew she was in good hands even though it broke my heart to leave and there were many tears shed on the airplane back to NC.
It will be a long recovery road ahead but she has a great support system and I know she can do it.
I love you!
